You can find one of the finest ocean views in the San Diego area at Pacifica Del Mar. A fine dining establishment deserving of the name, they pay attention to every detail, from the attentive servers to the accent lighting. Bring people that you want to impress, whether out-of-towners or a special date. Their motto is "seafood is our passion," so as might be expected, the seafood bistro bar is not to be missed. Other standouts are the Japanese clam chowder and the barbecued sugar-spiced salmon. Also to be expected, dining here involves high-ticket plates, so if you're interested in less glamour but the same level of quality, opt for the sister restaurant, Pacifica Breeze Cafe, downstairs. For such an upscale restaurant, their happy hour yields some surprisingly good deals, especially on Mondays and Tuesdays, when it goes all night.
